Technical Officer

Join to apply for the Technical Officer role at Derbyshire Constabulary. You will be part of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), supporting serious and organised crime investigations by designing and deploying surveillance systems and providing expert advice to policing teams.

You will design and deploy technical surveillance systems, identify faults, and take swift action to resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing technical surveillance systems as required.
• Offering specialist advice and support to policing teams.
• Working in restricted spaces, at height, and in hard-to-reach locations.

What you must have (Qualifications)

• Work experience in a relevant field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach those with little or no technical skill.
• Teamworking skills in an environment with limited supervision.
