About the role
Description
As a Derbyshire Constabulary Police Cadet, you’ll be taking the first step towards a long career in policing. You’ll take part in weekly cadet meetings, social action projects and local initiatives aimed at raising the profile of young people in the county and giving you a real insight into policing.
We offer a fantastic opportunity for like-minded young people to:

As well as experiencing the different areas of policing such as task force, dog section, road policing unit and other operational teams, the scheme is structured to allow you to attain the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (Bronze and Silver).
You will need to be between the ages of 13-18 years old (Academic years 9 to 13 as of September 2025).
