Occupational Health and Wellbeing Mental Health Practitioner

Promote a healthy and supportive workplace at Derbyshire Constabulary. This is a brand-new role in our expanding Occupational Health and Wellbeing department. It offers an incredible opportunity to make a difference by supporting the mental health and wellbeing of officers and staff who often work in high-stress environments with regular exposure to trauma.

As our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Mental Health Practitioner you will play a pivotal role in ensuring proactive strategies are implemented to promote a healthy and supportive workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing counselling and therapeutic support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges
  • Designing and delivering mental health awareness training
  • Building and maintaining a network of external mental health resources

What You’ll Need

A full list of essential requirements can be found on the job description for this role, and include:

  • To be a registered Mental Health Practitioner with current level one NMC registration
  • Experience working as a mental health practitioner, preferably in Occupational Health or a similar setting
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions, assessment tools, counselling techniques, and evidence-based interventions
