About the role

Help shape the future of information management. As our Freedom of Information Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering a proactive, high-quality service that ensures transparency and compliance under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Working within our fast-paced Information Management Department, you’ll guide a skilled team, collaborate across multiple business units, and influence how critical information is shared with the public and partners.

Salary: £42,612 - £50,949

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process requests for the disclosure of information
  • Assess complex information, undertake risk assessment, provide detailed rationale
  • Provide training and coaching support to the team and wider force

The must haves

  • Experience of preparing evidence-based reports
  • Experience of identifying, understanding and applying legislation and case law
  • Able to problem solve and resolve complaints
