Overview
Powering forensic science with expert lab and admin support.
As our FAS Laboratory Technician, you will provide administrative and technical support to the FAS Laboratory, working within a team of multi skilled FAS Officers, who are responsible for processing and examining forensic exhibits.
You’ll be working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, supporting the quality and accreditation of the laboratory.
This is part time role 25.9 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Utilising and implementing a range of specialist equipment and techniques to aid the development of forensic evidence.
- Coordinating and managing equipment maintenance and calibration visits
- Managing and controlling stock and consumables
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety within a laboratory environment
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality standards relating to Forensic Services
- Able to communicate effectively
