Join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit Forensic Services team as

Tier 1 Fingerprint Identification Officer .

Working collaboratively, you’ll ensure a high-quality service is delivered surrounding an extensive range of specialist technical and administrative functions.

You’ll also provide expert advice and attend crime scenes to effectively recover and examine fingerprints.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Examining and processing fingerprints and scene of crime marks in line policy and procedure.
  • Ensuring custody fingerprint applications are efficient, effective and compliant.
  • Maximising performance by challenging existing processes and using innovation to establish best practice.
  • The must haves
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality standard knowledge relating to Forensic Services and Forensic Science Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct.
  • Be able to solve problems and make decisions using excellent attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication skills at all levels.
