Overview

Keeping custody safe, secure and protecting welfare. We’re looking for motivated, resilient team members to join Derbyshire Constabulary as Custody Detention Officers (CDO’s).

Responsibilities

  • Shifts can be long and demanding and you’ll face tough situations, dealing with people who may be distressed, under the influence or confrontational.
  • Support people at their most vulnerable, offering reassurance, empathy and care when it matters.
  • Book individuals into custody and safeguard their wellbeing, protecting dignity and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience of dealing with people in difficult or confrontational circumstances.
  • Great communication skills to allow you to talk to all and adapt if needed.
  • The ability to work within a team.

Salary and Benefits

£25,626 - £31,296 plus 20% shift allowance and weekend working enhancement. This could make an additional £6000 - £10,000 per annum.
