The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
You will manage and coordinate Independent Advisory Group (IAG) functions and enhance the relationship between Derbyshire Constabulary and local communities. You will help to increase public trust and support the Force to deliver a consistently good service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working closely with neighbourhood teams to establish a consistent approach to how community priorities are set.
- Lead on ensuring we are tailoring to the needs of different communities.
- Monitor hate crime/incidents and promote the reporting of incidents through community engagement.
The must haves:
- Awareness of equality and diversity issues and detailed knowledge around the make-up of local communities.
- Able to actively listen to issues, concerns and barriers identified by communities or people with protected characteristics.
- Experience of engaging with people from a variety of backgrounds.
