The East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is recognised nationally for leading the way in collaborative working, comprising approximately 1500 police officers and staff across Counter‑Terrorism, Serious and Organised Crime, Major Crime, Forensics, Legal Services and the Regional Review Unit.
Responsibilities
As Assistant Chief Constable, you will direct and oversee teams tackling the most serious, organised and violent crime, counter‑terrorism, extremism, and forensic services throughout the East Midlands. You will deliver change, foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, inclusion and empowerment, and manage complex enquiries and critical incidents across five police forces and a large geographical area.
Qualifications
- Substantive Assistant Chief Constable or Superintendent or Chief Superintendent with successful completion of the Strategic Command Course or Executive Leadership Programme, or current participant on the Executive Leadership Programme.
- Extensive operational experience and strategic command experience of critical incidents.
Salary
£120,489 – £135,726.
