Derby Grammar School is looking to appoint a well qualified and passionate Maths Teacher. Starting in September 2026, you will join our excellent teaching team. This is a permanent position teaching Maths to pupils in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

Derby Grammar School is a co-educational independent school that has provided excellent schooling to pupils from Derby and across the County. Our school setting dates back to the 18th century and is surrounded by extensive grounds. Established in 1995, Derby Grammar School is a leading independent school for children aged between 4 and 18. Located in the Derbyshire suburbs of Littleover, our secluded grounds provide the perfect setting for a first-class educational experience.

The Maths department offers the Edexcel specifications for both GCSE and A Level Maths and Further Maths. Our high attainers also study the Level 2 Further Mathematics course at GCSE. We are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher who is able to teach Maths to pupils in KS3, 4 and 5. We would like to hear from experienced Maths teachers who can promote a love of learning and stimulate intellectual curiosity amongst pupils at Derby Grammar School through inspirational teaching and guidance, ensuring each pupil is supported to achieve his or her potential.

The ability to teach A Level Maths is essential, as at Derby Grammar School Maths is a popular A level choice. Teaching of Further Mathematics at A Level is welcome but not essential.
