Firs Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational School Business Assistant to provide administration, reception and finance support. This role will provide a welcoming and professional service at our busy school, acting as the first point of contact for parents and visitors on a reception desk and handling telephone enquiries.

The ideal candidate will have administrative experience, preferably within a school setting, and will assist with the school’s finance function, working closely with the School Business Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administration, reception and finance support.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for parents and visitors on the reception desk and handling telephone enquiries.
  • Assisting with the school’s finance function, working closely with the School Business Manager.
  • Ensuring all procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance with school policies.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrating flexibility, patience, humour and a positive attitude.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/365 is required; experience with Arbor and Sage Intacct would be an advantage but is not essential if the required skills can be demonstrated.
