William Gilbert is an exceptional Church of England Primary School located in Duffield, north of Derby. We are committed to providing high quality education and holistic development for every child within a warm, welcoming Christian ethos.
The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate and skilled Special Educational Needs teaching & learning assistant to join our Early Years team on a fixed term basis. The role will deliver personalised provision under the guidance of the class teacher and outside agency input, supporting SEND pupils with physical and sensory needs and facilitating programmes to develop children’s social, emotional and communication skills.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance and support of the SENDCO, Department Leader and class teacher within a friendly, collegial team. Experience of working with SEND pupils, including those with physical and sensory needs, and programmes to develop children’s social, emotional and communication skills is essential.
