Derby County are seeking to recruit a Part Time Pre-Academy Coach to join the Coaching Department at Moor Farm Training Centre.

Derby County Football Club has an opportunity to join our Academy Coaching Team in the Pre-Academy.
Our Academy vision is to continue to provide talented, well balanced young professional footballers for Derby County's first-team squad and become recognised as the ‘Academy of Choice’ for young players within our local area and beyond.
Your previous experiences of designing, coordinating and delivering coaching sessions will allow you to support the Academy and this vision.
Our mission is to identify, develop and support talented young footballers in order for them to achieve their maximum potential in a positive, supportive and professional learning environment.
You will be working to this mission through the planning and delivery of your engaging and educational sessions.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering engaging football coaching sessions to support the Pre-Academy players and progress their football development.
- Carry out player and session evaluations on a regular basis.
- Be responsible for coaching the players across the Pre-Academy age groups.
- Liaising with parents/carers both formally and informally to provide a positive and welcoming environment.
- To attend relevant CPD and Coach Competency Framework activities.
- To act as a positive role model to all players.
- To be committed to supporting the players through the games program.
- To support recruitment of Players across the Pre Academy Age Groups
- To support with recruitment events held at the Training Ground and provide reports on players
- General
- To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of customers and colleagues, complying with health and safety guidance and policy.
- Continuously work to maintain, embed and improve the club’s safeguarding provision, ensuring the highest standards for safeguarding children and adults at risk.
- To uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work and also including equality, diversity and inclusion.
- To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the organisation.
- To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.
Personal characteristics and experience
- Experience of coaching players in the Pre-Academy age bracket
- Experience of coaching, managing and leading a team.
- Confident, Resilient and Self Motivated
- Excellent Communications skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast paced, target driven environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Work using own initiative and as part of a team
Qualifications
- FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate

Salary is competitive, dependent on experience.
