Derby College Group (DCG) have an exciting and rare opportunity for a full-time Teacher to join our Media Team at Joseph Wright Centre. The department offers vocationally based qualifications at level 1, 2 and 3. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated professional who is ready to deliver an outstanding experience to our students.
The Role
Within this role you will be pivotal to the success of the Creative & Digital Media provision at the College which delivers to students from across the East Midlands. You’ll be joining a dedicated teaching team who are passionate about the subject. Through the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment, you will ensure they gain an in depth understanding of the essential (and desirable) topics:
- UI/UX Design
- Figma
- Graphic Design Principles
- Adobe Illustrator
- Digital Marketing
- Social Media Marketing
- Commercial Branding
About you
You will have teaching experience in Digital Media or an industry related area and be a forward thinking and innovative teacher with students at the heart of your work. You will have practical expertise that encompasses digital media principles such as UI/UX design, graphic design, digital marketing and motion graphics – with each, knowledge of their individual stage of production. You will be fully confident with the necessary Adobe Creative Cloud’s suite of products (Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop) in addition to Figma (or similar), and able to demonstrate these skills through highly effective planning, outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
