Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a part-time Teacher of English to join our Study Programme English team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English to our students. This role is primarily based at The Roundhouse, with flexibility to work across all our sites as needed.

The Opportunity

About you
Youll provide outstanding English teaching and learning for our 16-19 cohort. You have experience teaching GCSE English (9-1) and preferably Functional Skills English within an FE context. Youll possess high interpersonal skills, good time management, and IT proficiency. You are qualified up to at least Level 3 in English, with a relevant degree qualification being desirable. Additionally, you hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or are willing to work towards it. You are enthusiastic, flexible, and innovative, with effective behaviour management strategies.
