Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for several Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team based at our beautiful rural Broomfield Hall Campus.
The Opportunity
Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and within this role you’ll be providing a range of support services both in and outside the classroom to students who have inclusion and support needs. The support that you provide will enable these students to achieve and progress. Within this role you’ll also assist certain students with personal care if required.
Hours available: 37 hours per week, 29.6 hours per week
About you
If you’re positive, motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we’d love to hear from you! You’ll have great communication skills and build good working relationships. We also value practical problem solving and using your initiative in trying to make our students' world a little better every day. You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access all elements of the curriculum. If you have a specialist qualification like supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities or equivalent then that is great, but if not we will support you to achieve this!
