Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team at Broomfield Campus. If you are motivated, eager to learn new skills, and aspire to be a role model, we would love to hear from you!
The Opportunity
You will provide support services in and outside the classroom to students with specific inclusion and support needs, enabling them to achieve and progress. Our college offers a wide range of support across all sites.
Our students are central to our person-centred approach, and we support over 120 learning support staff in developing outstanding skills and knowledge.
As an LSA at Broomfield, no two days are the same. You might support GCSE English and Maths classes or assist students learning to drive or care for livestock on the farm. Support needs vary from Entry Level to Level 3, with common areas including Dyslexia, Mental Health, and Autism. We aim to develop students\’ resilience and independence for adult life.

We value building good working relationships, fostering confidence, and maintaining a positive attitude. Practical problem-solving and initiative are essential to help our students access all aspects of the curriculum. You should be committed to supporting students\’ success.
Minimum requirements:
- At least a Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English (Level 2), with evidence required.
