Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting an IQA/Assessor of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to join our outstanding Technology Department. This home-based role involves daily travel within the Derby region and offers an excellent opportunity to share your specialist knowledge while supporting apprentices to progress into successful careers.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality learning experiences that support apprentices to achieve, progress, and thrive. You will manage a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through every stage of their programme while ensuring compliance with quality requirements. Working closely with employers, you will tailor learning plans, conduct workplace visits, and provide meaningful feedback that drives success and prepares apprentices for their future careers.

About You

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or completion of a Level 3 Mechatronics Apprenticeship. You will also have an Assessors Award (A1) and bring at least three years of recent, hands-on industry experience. Confident, organised, and able to work independently, you will engage effectively with students and colleagues while maintaining high professional and safeguarding standards.
