Fixed term Maternity cover Derby College Group (DCG) have a brilliant opportunity for a Careers Advisor to join our passionate team based at our iconic Roundhouse campus; this will be a fixed term maternity cover contract.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality, professional careers guidance, helping students navigate their career paths with confidence. You will foster strong partnerships within the college and with external agencies, ensuring a robust and comprehensive careers education and guidance provision. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering innovative career resources and activities, supporting students' progression and success. This position offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to empowering students and shaping their professional journeys.
About you
You will have experience delivering careers education and one-to-one guidance in an Education or FE setting, with strong skills in group work and curriculum collaboration. You understand current careers guidance legislation, HE applications, labour market trends, and equal opportunities. You will have experience of coordinating and delivering a range of Careers events and activities. You hold a first degree and/or a Level 6 careers guidance qualification (or are working towards it). Experience with curriculum planning and using technology in careers delivery is a plus.
