Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure we meet our statutory duties as a local authority in relation to school governance
  • Play an active part in shaping and supporting Local Authority Trusts emerging through the Schools White Paper
  • Help lead through Local Government reorganisation as we expand the number of schools for which we are responsible
  • Drive high standards of compliance and meaningful engagement with schools
  • Support and empower school leaders and governing boards so that every school can succeed
