The Opportunity
- The post is for a Planning Enforcement & Compliance Officer within Derby City Council’s busy Development Management Team to deal with breaches of planning control, with a specific emphasis on the city centre and listed building issues and contraventions.
- The service is based on an ethos of pro-active and proportionate responses to breaches of planning control, and the successful candidate will be a proven communicator and negotiator with established people skills.
What you’ll be doing
- The post-holder will be able to effectively co-ordinate and communicate all complaints with colleagues from across the Council and beyond.
- The post-holder will be conversant with raising and serving enforcement notices, stop notices, breach of conditions notices, injunctions, and summonses.

- The post demands an enthusiastic motivated person with sound organisational skills and the ability to work effectively with all service users.
