Job Description:

Would you like to make a big difference in the lives of disabled children? Are you positive, enthusiastic, and committed? Join our team to care for children in a 5-bed, long-term children’s home. We seek individuals who are creative, patient, caring, and enjoy working in a team to provide the best quality care for children with various disabilities.

Applicants should have experience and a genuine passion for working with learning-disabled children aged 0 to 17, including those who may display challenging behavior. Knowledge of working with autistic children and those with complex needs, such as sensory/communication difficulties and clinical needs, is important.

You should be able to communicate effectively with children and build caring, positive relationships, following care plans. The night shift hours are 21:45 to 07:15, involving overnight monitoring and care, along with some domestic and administrative duties.

Applicants must have excellent written and numerical skills. Health and Social Care CYP NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma are desirable, or a commitment to achieve this. You will be part of a supportive team, with training provided to enhance your understanding of working with children.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 22 years or older and hold a full, clean driving license. Flexibility to change shifts to meet service needs is required.
