The Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service is looking for an experienced Minute Taker to join the team and provide high‑quality minute taking and administrative support for Child Protection Conferences. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising meetings, preparing and circulating paperwork, and supporting the service’s safeguarding activities.

Responsibilities

  • Take minutes at Child Protection Conferences and other high‑level meetings
  • Organise meetings and prepare relevant paperwork
  • Distribute meeting documentation to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Provide general administrative support to the department
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy and varied environment
  • Assist with data entry and management in the client database as required
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, professionals, families and external agencies

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience of minute taking in high‑level conferences or meetings
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Experience using a client database is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently as well as part of a team
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service orientation and confident telephone manner
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and work flexibly to meet service needs
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements
