Could you support Derby City Council to lead, design and successfully implement change programmes and projects across the Council? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Project and Change Hub as a Change Manager to lead, design and successfully implement the Derby City Council’s Storage Project. This major project will transform the Council’s storage provision, consolidating existing storage facilities into a single, purpose-built storage facility. The new facility will provide storage for a number of key Council services and will also house the Council’s Museums’ collection, a significant collection of over 200,000 items including large numbers of historic artefacts and fine art.

As the Change Manager leading this project, you will be integral in developing the specification for the new facility and supporting its construction and delivery, reviewing the Council’s storage requirements, rationalising the number of items stored and coordinating relocation into the new facility. Specifically, you will need to understand the specific requirements for storage of the Museum’s collection, and lead on its decant from existing locations, which will include cleaning and cataloguing, and ensuring the correct storage solutions for the artefacts; your ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Council and Derby Museums Trust will be essential.

In addition to the Storage Project, you will contribute to the Asset Rationalisation Programme and other change projects throughout the Council. You'll help implement efficiencies and achieve financial savings that bolster the Council’s financial sustainability.
