Secondment Opportunity
We are looking to recruit an Attendance Support Officer on a fixed term contract for 12 months to work in the Waste Management section at Stores Road depot.
The aim of this new role is to support the refuse collection service in the management of sickness absence and promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
• To carry out, implement and monitor human resource management procedures to the Refuse teams in line with relevant policies
• To be sensitive and compassionate to individuals\’ personal circumstances
• Opening sickness absences on MiPeople
• Carrying out 3-day contact for staff on sickness absence
• Arranging and carrying out Informal Support Meetings for staff that are in the informal attendance process
• Arranging Formal Meetings for staff that are in the formal attendance process
• Preparation of casework and setting up of the appropriate attendance hearing
• Draft employee referrals to the Occupational Health Service as and when required
• Provide additional Wellbeing support to individuals as required
