The Role: As BDM - Leisure, you will be responsible for the successful performance of the leisure travel of international customers and develop the sales and the portfolio of active clients, reach sales objective defined by the management. Working closely with other internal department stakeholders from other Sales, Operation and Sourcing teams, you will also be responsible for presenting the creation of tailor‑made concepts & itineraries to our international customers. As part of the (Country) Destination Management Team, the role also entails close interaction with Overseas Sales and European clients directly.
Responsibilities Include:
- Sales activity within (Country) and new customers (domestic & worldwide) acquisition based on assigned budget
- Analyze client needs and design tailor‑made travel programs and destination concepts.
- Prepare detailed proposals including itineraries, logistics concepts and preliminary costing.
- Present proposals to clients and manage negotiations leading to business confirmation.
- Ensure smooth transition of confirmed projects to operational teams for booking and delivery.
- Responsible for checking the business profitability in coordination with the Revenue Control dept
- Attending Trade shows as well partner events
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance leisure travel experiences.
- Responsible to enlarge the portfolio of KuoniTumlare clients
- Identify and develop new B2B opportunities, focusing on leisure clients
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts to drive repeat business.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams, including other sales, operations, and finance, to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline updates, and event outcomes.
- Plan and implement sales delivery targets and KPI’s.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative business solutions.
To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:
- Proven track record in a DMC or working within the Leisure industry in (Country)
- Deep understanding of the travel industry and market requirements
- Good connection within the Leisure network in (Country)
- Fluency in English and (local language) is a must, OR any other EU language would be of an advantage
- Ability to identify customer needs and manage client relationships - establishing, developing and maintaining client trust and loyalty over time and through changes
- Capability of problem solving, anticipating, initiating and resolving customer issues
- Strong attention to detail and negotiation skills
- Ability to think analytically, innovatively, strategically and conceptually
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and timetables
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios
