DEPT is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner‑led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.
This position sits in our Creative & Media service based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions. Our clients include eBay, Just Eat Takeaway, EasyJet, and PepsiCo.
As a Senior Project Manager at DEPT, you’ll oversee key client accounts from a project management perspective, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. Alongside our Client Services team, you’ll join key client‑facing touchpoints to help balance external expectations with internal delivery needs. You’ll balance client priorities with internal delivery needs, while providing leadership, oversight, and guidance to PMs in the team. We’re looking for someone proactive and confident in shaping ways of working, who takes full ownership of how the account runs day‑to‑day. Crucially, you will bring a calm, grounded seniority – someone who earns trust quickly, holds the line with clients when needed, and gives creative and production teams the clarity and confidence to do their best work.
What You'll Do
- Lead project management across assigned accounts, ensuring smooth delivery, clear priorities, and alignment between client goals and internal workflows.
- Provide strategic input into account ways of working, resource prioritisation, and overrun management.
- Bring strong understanding of creative & production frameworks with experience in digital and social first campaigns and projects.
- Build strong relationships with Client Services, Creative, Design, and Production to ensure smooth handovers and collaboration.
- Take ownership of escalation paths - proactively convening the right stakeholders to unblock work, drive decisions, and maintain delivery momentum without waiting to be directed.
- Operate as a senior peer alongside Business Directors and Client Services leads - jointly owning account health, surfacing risks early, and resolving issues before they impact delivery or the client relationship.
- Own project governance across accounts – including project plans, scopes of work, timelines, and documentation – setting the standard for how delivery is tracked and communicated internally and to clients.
- Hold a senior, account‑wide view of pacing, resource, and risk – making proactive calls on prioritisation and escalation rather than reacting to issues after they surface.
- Champion best practice in project management, ensuring tools, documentation, and workflows are consistent and efficient.
- Continuously identify operational and WoW friction points and lead changes to improve efficiency, clarity and team workflow.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience and a strong understanding of creative & production frameworks with experience in digital and social first campaigns and projects.
- Significant senior-level experience in agency project management, with a strong track record of leading complex, multi-discipline accounts in creative, media, or production settings.
- Proven ability to define and own ways of working across multi-discipline teams – not just recommending change, but driving it.
- Comfortable holding strategic oversight while staying hands‑on when delivery demands it.
- Proven track record of managing complex multi-discipline projects from planning to delivery.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing scopes, budgets, and forecasts.
- A confident, senior communicator with strong stakeholder management skills – able to anticipate needs, surface risks early, drive clarity across teams, and hold constructive conversations with clients around scope, priorities, and expectations.
- Proficient with project management and workflow tools (including Google Suite), with the ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and confidently use new systems as they evolve.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
