This role is within Experience & Engineering in Ireland. We combine our skills in developing future-ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Mid-Level Project Manager, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers projects covering all aspects of digital, including UX and UI design, DevOps and infrastructure, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, data and analytics, CRM, marketing automation and business analysis. Our Project Management craft is an integral part of the team helping manage client expectations, supporting the team and ensuring deliveries stay on track. We expect our project managers to challenge assumptions, articulate and look for value, offer advice and support to the team and clients where appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Senior PMs and Programme Managers in the delivery of our programme of work
- Scope project requirements and prepare budgets
- Prepare detailed project delivery and resourcing plans
- Manage hybrid delivery teams and project teams where necessary
- Manage the project team to ensure project tasks and actions are followed up on effectively
- Report on project and budget status
- Work closely with other team members and leadership to help identify gaps and opportunities, and collaboratively come up with solutions
- Maintain project documentation including risk logs and requirement specifications
- Demonstrate an understanding of web technologies and be able to discuss technical solutions in plain language
- Proactively manage the client relationship to ensure the communication and expectations around the project is clear
- Work to ensure we anticipate clients’ needs and offer a superb level of service
- Work in a collaborative environment within the business and with client stakeholders
- Be an active member of the team, supporting colleagues and peers to help achieve overall digital goals for both the Client, Business Team and DEPT
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience as a Digital Project Manager building things like corporate websites, apps, online account management and other online systems.
- Experience within a digital agency, or in another fast moving industry is a plus
- Highly organised and motivated person with an aptitude for understanding and solving problems
- Willingness to get involved in the sometimes messy process and support your team colleagues to get deliveries over the line
- Understanding the value of collaborating with the team and client is very important
- A positive outlook and strong interpersonal relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-discipline teams
- Demonstrated ability to context switch and maintain focus on the team and delivery
- Vendor management experience would be a plus
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Direct availability to start working in either Ireland or the UK.
- Willingness to do occasional travels to the client location or other DEPT offices.
