This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include EasyJet, eBay, INEOS, Logitech, L’Oréal, Roblox, Walkers and Zalando.

As a Lead Motion Designer, you will set Motion Art Direction through ideas, motion, visuals, and narrative. You bring strong art direction thinking and high level motion craft together to shape concepts from early thinking to final execution. You care about story, framing, and how visuals communicate over time. You push ideas forward while being actively involved in the work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead motion design on projects across a range of brands, translating creative concepts into compelling animated and video content.
  • Own the motion design process end-to-end: concepting, storyboarding, animatics, execution, and final delivery.
  • Work across both motion and static, occasionally supporting graphic design needs alongside motion craft.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, art directors, and creatives to develop motion systems, style frames, and treatments aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Provide creative and technical guidance to junior and mid-level motion designers, offering feedback and mentorship.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing quality with tight deadlines across different brand accounts.
  • Stay curious about new tools, techniques, and formats across motion and visual design, including AI-assisted workflows.
  • Present and articulate creative rationale to internal teams and, where needed, clients.

WHAT YOU BRING

Essential:

  • Solid experience as a Motion Designer or similar role.
  • Outstanding showreel and/or portfolio.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team amongst graphic designers, creatives and strategists.
  • Experience in video editing and an interest in sound design.
  • Strong graphic design principles and a feel for art direction.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with internal teams and clients.
  • Clear and fast in communication.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • A love for learning new things and exploring new formats.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with grading in DaVinci.
  • Cinema 4D or Blender 3D experience.
  • Illustration.
