DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

This is an embedded role working directly within the marketing team of a UK Award winning fintech, based at their offices in Canary Wharf. We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud specialist to join our CRM team on a flexible contract basis. You'll work hands-on to build and execute campaigns and customer journeys, while collaborating closely with our product, marketing, and content teams to keep projects moving and deliver at pace. We are open to either a 3 month fixed-term contract, or freelance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build, QA, and deploy email and mobile campaigns and journeys end-to-end in SFMC
  • Design and maintain multi-step customer journeys in Journey Builder
  • Develop and manage automated programmes in Automation Studio
  • Create and maintain dynamic content, templates, and assets in Content Studio
  • Support push and SMS activity via Mobile Studio
  • Write and maintain AMPscript and SQL to power personalisation, segmentation, and data extensions
  • Manage data flows in and out of SFMC via file drops, API integrations, and connectors, maintaining clean and reliable data throughout
  • Partner with product, marketing, and content teams to scope, plan, and deliver CRM projects
  • Build and maintain HTML/CSS email templates to a high standard across clients
  • Embed AI tools and practices into day-to-day ways of working to improve efficiency and output quality

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Proven hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud — Content Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Mobile Studio are all areas you know well
  • Strong AMPscript and SQL skills; comfortable writing from scratch, not just editing
  • Solid understanding of SFMC data architecture and how data moves in and out of the platform
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and how it connects to SFMC
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for responsive email development
  • A collaborative, proactive working style — you're comfortable managing your own workload and communicating clearly with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications

  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off each year

  • Enhanced family friendly policies
  • Buddy Program: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT®.
