JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a culturally plugged-in Mid-Weight Creative who lives and breathes social media. Someone who’s not just chronically online but understands how to shape culture through stand‑out ideas. We’re looking for someone who can define the cultural direction of our work, influence clients, and elevate how we think about social‑first thinking. This role is for someone who thinks platform‑first, not TV‑down. Someone who understands that today’s biggest campaigns don’t just interrupt culture, they participate, spark it and ultimately become a part of it. You won’t just execute ideas, but understand how campaigns travel through feeds, group chats and comment sections. You’ll know how to translate that into clear creative territories, strategic thinking for brands and crafted work that cuts through on every platform. Just as importantly, you think beyond content. Social is your starting point, not your limitation. You’re able to turn cultural moments into ideas that scale across channels and touchpoints and can organise your thinking to reflect that.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will work across always‑on, reactive and campaign briefs, turning insights, behaviours and cultural signals into ideas people want to share, remix and get involved in.
  • Help shape the work we make, identify cultural opportunities for clients before they can, and influence how brands show up in culture.
  • Develop big, culturally‑led creative platforms that can scale across channels, experiences and campaigns, not just live within social feeds.
  • Collaborate closely with strategists, designers, influencers, community managers and media teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Craft sharp copy, scripts and concepts that feel native to each platform and audience.
  • Shape ideas from concept through to execution - staying hands‑on throughout.
  • Spot cultural moments, trends and conversations and turn them into brand‑ownable ideas.
  • Confidently present work internally and to clients, articulating the cultural insight and platform logic behind your thinking.
  • Champion craft – from lo‑fi reactive content to larger social‑led campaigns.
  • Understand production techniques, art direction and have a keen eye for innovative production techniques.
  • Have an open mindset and a proactive attitude toward integrating AI into your creative workflow.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Ability to take a sharp social insight and turn it into a larger conceptual idea that can travel across multiple touchpoints.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating social‑first thinking and culturally relevant work.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and Influencer content in particular – formats, behaviours, humour, subcultures, influencers and trends.
  • Strong copywriting and/or art direction skills with platform nuance.
  • A natural instinct for what will make someone stop scrolling.
  • You’re results driven and understand how to create content that performs.
  • Experience turning insights, comments or community behaviour into content opportunities.
  • Confidence presenting ideas internally and externally.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines – from analysts to influencers.
  • Love of learning new platforms, features, AI developments and emerging formats.
  • A self‑starter with a collaborative attitude and proactive way.

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy.
  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash).
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off each year.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • EAP scheme.
  • Ride to work scheme.
  • Enhanced family friendly policies.
  • Buddy Program: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks at DEPT®.
