We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

This position sits in our Creative & Media team based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through innovative digital marketing solutions. We plan, create and execute a variety of world class campaigns, from culture lead, social first content to award-winning integrated creative campaigns that have been built from data lead strategies and insights. Our clients include Just Eat Takeaway, Victoria's Secret, TikTok, The White Company, Meta, Pepsico, EasyJet and many more.

Here at DEPT®, we are proud of the award winning, creative campaigns and content that we produce for a range of exciting and well known brands and we believe that our Media Team is pivotal in the success of those campaigns. Our Media Team is made up of both paid and organic media specialists and we are looking for a new Junior SEO/GEO Specialist to join the team to service an exciting new client.

Joining this team means that you will become part of our growing UK & Ireland team, and our wider EMEA SEO team which spans a number of offices across Europe. Our EMEA SEO team, which consists of 40+ specialists, empowers clients to develop and grow their online businesses through organic search in all its shapes and forms. You will go beyond simply executing SEO tasks; together with more experienced consultants, you will function as a strategic advisor to our clients by understanding their needs and proposing hands‑on solutions.

This role requires a strong foundation and interest in SEO (and GEO), along with solid execution skills and a results-oriented approach. The ideal candidate effectively applies existing knowledge to support the team in solving practical, less-defined tasks and must be capable of providing clear input to both colleagues and clients. A strong focus on continuous learning and expanding expertise is essential. The candidate is expected to deliver operational work of excellent quality. Furthermore, the ability to communicate clearly and proactively is a core requirement.

As an SEO/GEO Specialist, you are a true expert when it comes to improving the organic visibility of brands online, and have an interest in optimising content for AI models (LLMs). You will work with the SEO/GEO Lead on projects from start to finish. Based on data and with the help of multiple tools, you will help create, analyse and implement long‑term SEO strategies to ensure our clients are being serviced as effectively as possible.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Contribute to SEO/GEO projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with clients and internal teams
  • Assist in developing long-term SEO (and GEO) strategies to support client growth
  • Conduct technical, content, and authority analyses with guidance from senior team members
  • Help set up implementation plans and workflows for clients and internal projects
  • Respond to internal and external briefs with clear, actionable input
  • Support reporting on SEO (and GEO) activity (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Deliver work to a high standard and meet agreed deadlines
  • Share ideas and contribute to the team’s creative process
  • Present work and updates internally and, when needed, externally

WHAT YOU BRING

  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with SEO, ideally from an agency or through personal web projects
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, or Semrush
  • Strong understanding of SEO basics, with interest in broader digital marketing (including paid media)
  • Experience using AI search tools such as Profound, Peec.aI, Scrunch or similar to measure AI visibility
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, social search (TikTok and Instagram SEO) or experience optimising social content for organic discovery.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment and are motivated to build expertise in SEO, GEO and beyond
  • Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs, PowerPoint/ Google Slides, and Google Looker Studio or equivalent
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn, while also being proactive and communicative
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • Confident in preparing and delivering presentations
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash)
  • 25 days holiday plus
