We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include EasyJet, eBay, INEOS, Logitech, L’Oréal, Roblox, Walkers and Zalando.As a Lead Motion Designer, you will set Motion Art Direction through ideas, motion, visuals, and narrative. You bring strong art direction thinking and high level motion craft together to shape concepts from early thinking to final execution. You care about story, framing, and how visuals communicate over time. You push ideas forward while being actively involved in the work.WHAT YOU'LL DOLead motion design on projects across a range of brands, translating creative concepts into compelling animated and video contentOwn the motion design process end-to-end: concepting, storyboarding, animatics, execution, and final deliveryWork across both motion and static, occasionally supporting graphic design needs alongside motion craftCollaborate closely with designers, art directors, and creatives to develop motion systems, style frames, and treatments aligned with brand guidelinesProvide creative and technical guidance to junior and mid-level motion designers, offering feedback and mentorshipManage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing quality with tight deadlines across different brand accountsStay curious about new tools, techniques, and formats across motion and visual design, including AI-assisted workflowsPresent and articulate creative rationale to internal teams and, where needed, clientsWHAT YOU BRINGEssential:Solid experience as a Motion Designer or similar roleOutstanding showreel and/or portfolioExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteComfortable working within a multidisciplinary team amongst graphic designers, creatives and strategistsExperience in video editing and an interest in sound designStrong graphic design principles and a feel for art directionAbility to meet deadlines and collaborate with internal teams and clientsClear and fast in communicationHigh attention to detailAbility to remain focused under pressure within a fast-paced environmentA love for learning new things and exploring new formatsNice to have:Experience with grading in DaVinciCinema 4D or Blender 3D experienceillustrationWE OFFER:A flexible, hybrid working policy (2 days from the office, depending on location).An excellent salary based on experience and equal pay policiesPension, free private healthcare, mental health support, and company sick pay scheme.26 days paid holiday (plus UK Bank Holidays).Refreshments are provided in the office all week, as well as drinks at 4 pm on a Thursday.Help getting you to work with a season ticket loan and cycle to work scheme.Enhanced family friendly policies to support new parents.Social and Cultural Events, plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues through organised activities and celebrations.Inspirational Talks, bringing the outside in with regular guest speakers and events.Learning and Development, supporting your growth with continuous opportunities to learn and advance.Buddy Programme: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT.A reputation for doing good.
