Title: Social Strategist
Location: This position is London based
This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service based in London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include ASOS, Just Eat Takeaway, Twitch, TikTok, and The White Company.
Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media trends, have a deep understanding of various platforms, understand how creative impacts performance and possess the strategic vision to create and execute effective social media campaigns.
The Social Media Strategist will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to enhance our client’s brand presence, engage their target audience, and drive business objectives.
Clients we work across include eBay, The Macallan, smart, Twitch, Moneygram, Trainline, easyJet and Skyscanner.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience behaviors to inform strategy and deliver this in a clear and concise way.
Content Planning and Ideation:
- Work closely with our creative team to develop engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms.
- Work with analysts and reports to inform the creative team of content performance.
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual elements across all social media channels.
- Work with teams on how creators/influencers can be used in content and what success looks like in this area.
Platform Management:
- Stay updated on platform algorithms, features, and best practices to maximize organic reach and engagement.
- Educate the wider team on platform changes and trends.
- Understanding of how boosted content works and can benefit the strategy.
Community Engagement:
- Develop strategies to grow and nurture online communities around the brand.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilise social media analytics tools to measure the performance of campaigns, track KPIs, and provide insightful reports to key stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to continually optimize strategies and improve performance.
- Develop testing frameworks for content.
- Run account audits and competitive analysis of organic social profiles, analysing historical performance and making recommendations based on top performing posts, formats and other factors.
- Use social listening and brand monitoring tools like Pulsar, Brandwatch and others
Relevant Skills And Previous Experiences
- 3-5 years of experience with social media marketing, ideally with an agency or brand
- Excellent communication, writing, project management, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Mastery of MS Excel/Google Sheets; confidence in exporting, pivoting and analyzing large data sets to analyze and package up
- Efficiency and focus when working under tight deadlines
- An organized and process-driven mindset, with a high attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Passion for social media communities and marketing approaches, with a keen eye towards innovation
- Advanced internet research and problem solving skills
- A life-long learner or growth mindset; focused on learning the trade and improving every day
