£2,000 welcome bonus for new Drivers – Apply today!
The Role
We are looking for experienced HGV Drivers (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based in West Thurrock. The moving of tanks and containers containing hazardous and non-hazardous liquids across the UK. This role will require you to have nights out and work 5 shifts per week with a guaranteed 13 hours per day or day shifts.
- An HGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
- A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- A valid ADR licence inc tanks (preferrable, but training can be given)
- A full understanding of Driver hours & Working Time Directive.
- A safety focused individual, as moving hazardous liquids.
- Minimum 1 years HGV Class 1 experience (preferrable)
- Tanker Experience preferred (training is provided with terms and conditions).
What we offer
- A £2,000 sign on bonus
- A day off on your birthday
- Monday to Friday, 65 hours guaranteed (drivers must be available for 65 hours, within the legal parameters).
- Night Out Allowance- £26.20 per night. (All non-taxable under current Inland Revenue rules).
- Meal allowance- Each day Monday to Friday an allowance of £2 tax free is paid to a driver taking a meal.
- Payment in lieu of night out – For improved security and to avoid costly overnight parking, drivers are encouraged to park at local DCI depots. Where the depot is the drivers home base it is agreed that a payment of £21.27, in lieu of a night out, will be made but this payment is subject to tax and national insurance. This is capped at 5 nights, a total of £106.35.
- Weekend shift bonus – Where a driver works either a Sat or Sun or both, an incentive bonus of £53.29 will be paid (once only per weekend). This bonus is not paid on bank holidays. If a driver’s shift pattern includes Sat/Sun as normal working days, this bonus will be paid once for any 6th or 7th day worked in week 1.
- Bonus- A bonus of £1,000 per year is payable in 2 equal instalments of £500 in February and August, based on the achievement of all set KPI’s.
- Holidays increase by 1 day with each full year of service up to a maximum of
- 25 days. Holiday year runs from 1 Jan to 31 Dec.
