We’re currently hiring for a Product Manager to work in the Inventory initiative team. Our vision is to make Depop the easiest place to turn items into shoppable inventory – in our mission to make fashion circular. This product team works to build experiences that help sellers of all shapes and sizes succeed on Depop, and meet sellers where they operate and manage their businesses. Your team will own AI‑enabled experiences that are exciting, differentiating and loved by our users. You will report to the Staff Product Manager who leads the Inventory initiative, as part of the wider Supply product org.

Responsibilities

  • Vision, strategy and roadmap: Define and drive the web sellers product vision, as it relates to the wider Inventory and Supply product strategy.
  • Deciding What To Build: Work with product squad leadership (designer, engineering manager) to prioritise features that deliver the highest impact against quarterly objectives, the wider Inventory and Supply strategy, within constraint of the teams’ resources. Combine user research, rigorous data exploration and technical guidance to make informed decisions about the vital few worth building, what to not pursue and when to adjust focus where necessary. You iterate on hypotheses and solutions as you learn. Scope and effectively prioritise new features to ensure the right balance between effort and impact.
  • Product Execution: Work with squad leadership to ensure solutions are simple, intuitive, and web-optimised – ensuring break-points, mobile web, responsiveness are considered when building web experiences and features. Working with the engineering team to ensure features are built to specifications, championing quality and product excellence. Leverage experimentation when appropriate to test and learn against hypotheses, capitalising on the ability to fail fast and learn faster through web development. Recognising obstacles to the team, and making sure they are escalated or resolved before they impact delivery. Keeping effort vs value at the forefront of your decision making.
  • Keeping Everyone Aligned And Informed: Aligning with the Staff Product Manager and the functional leadership on the priorities and strategic goals of the wider product area. Motivating the team and giving them the context they need to reach their potential. Identifying and leveraging the expertise of key functional stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Design, Product Marketing) and other product squads to help shape and execute on the vision for your area and fully understanding the opportunities, potential solutions, and constraints. Creating and fostering a team culture that keeps people engaged and focused.

Requirements

  • Experience working on mobile app/web products: demonstrated experience in product execution and mobile experience delivery. You have led an engineering team to build out digital features and experiences in an agile, iterative way.
  • Robust technical understanding: You have a good understanding of web development, and are able to challenge engineers on their assumptions and have productive conversations about size and scope of web features.
  • Great leadership and sense of ownership: You own the web sellers experience, and make decisions that steer the team and the product in the right direction, against our overall company and sellers strategy.
  • Collaborative, excellent communication skills and executive presence: Inventory is at the core of our company differentiation - you will need to build relationships with senior stakeholders across product, strategy and operations, and engineering.
  • Strategic and commercial acumen: you must be able to balance commercial and user requirements when prioritising features the team is building.
  • Strong accountability and ownership: you create order in the world around you and get huge satisfaction from delivering the highest quality features.
  • Previous experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in an agile environment.
  • Experience working with experimentation and A/B testing.
  • Experience working with AI products, Gen AI and LLMs preferred.
