Company Description

Depop is a peer‑to‑peer circular fashion marketplace where anyone can buy, sell and discover secondhand fashion. Our mission is simple: to make fashion circular by making secondhand as exciting and rewarding as buying new. Founded in 2011, Depop’s diverse community has helped move resale into the mainstream, where buying secondhand is no longer an alternative but how people of different ages engage with fashion today. More than 56million registered users find great value, express their own style and give clothes a longer life. Depop is headquartered in London, with offices in New York, and is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Etsy.

EEO Statement

We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, no matter who they are or where they’re from. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, providing employment opportunities without regard to age, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected status.

About the Role

You’ll report to the Senior Director of Supply and work on the iOS Buyer Pricing experience. You’ll operate as a senior individual contributor with end‑to‑end ownership of a high‑impact product area.

Responsibilities

  • Own a mission‑critical product experience.
  • Own the iOS buying experience end‑to‑end, accountable for outcomes that materially impact user success and marketplace health.
  • Act as the single‑threaded owner for strategy, prioritisation, and execution within the buying pricing space.
  • Set vision and strategy: define and evolve a clear product vision and strategy for buyer pricing experiences, aligned with “Good Value” Initiative priorities.
  • Prioritise the highest‑impact opportunities through user research, insights, experimentation, and technical understanding.
  • Drive high‑quality execution in partnership with iOS Engineering, Design, and Data to deliver simple, intuitive, native experiences that users return to daily.
  • Validate features via experimentation and staged rollouts, ensuring they are understood, adopted and habit‑forming.
  • Maintain high standards for AI UX quality: low friction, high relevance, graceful failure states, and clear user agency.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Operations, and Product Marketing.
  • Provide clarity and momentum for your squad by delivering context, direction, and crisp decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience owning and scaling mobile product experiences, ideally in a consumer or marketplace context.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI (e.g., LLM‑powered workflows, AI‑assisted creation, recommendations, automation) shipped to real users at scale.
  • Strong track record of designing experiences that are habitual, easy, seamless, and genuinely lovable.
  • Deep understanding of native iOS development and mobile UX patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable commercial and user outcomes on high‑impact product surfaces.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making high‑stakes decisions with incomplete information.
  • Influential communicator with strong executive presence.
  • High ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just output.
  • Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and data‑informed iteration.

Benefits & Perks

  • Health + Mental Wellbeing: PMI and cash plan healthcare with Bupa, subsidised counselling and coaching, Cycle to Work scheme, and EAP support.
  • Work/Life Balance: 25 days of annual leave (up to 5 days carried over), up to 2 days of additional paid volunteer leave per year.
  • Fully paid 4‑week sabbatical after 5 years of consecutive service.
  • Flexible working: hybrid model with Flex, Office‑Based, and Remote options (role‑dependent).
  • Dog‑friendly offices.
  • Family Life benefits: 20 weeks paid parental leave for birth parents, 12 weeks for non‑birth parents, IVF leave, shared parental leave, and paid emergency parent/carer leave.
  • Learning & Growth: yearly development chats, performance reviews, learning budget.
  • Financial: Life insurance (3x salary), pension matching up to 6% of base salary.
  • Extras: in‑office Depop shop, free packing station with delivery, special milestones celebrated with gifts and rewards.
