Role
You will join a newly formed Pricing team, a core product area that helps sellers price items to sell faster and improve earnings while enabling buyers to discover great value. Working cross‑functionally with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, Machine Learning, and QA, you will build intuitive, data‑driven experiences that make pricing and negotiation feel simple, transparent, and rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design to shape solutions and deliver outcomes.
- Take a pragmatic approach to evolving technology and modernise applications incrementally.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong quality culture through reviews, testing, and technical guidance.
- Influence technical direction through engineering standards, design discussions, and technical leadership.
- Demonstrate a track record of technical leadership without a management title: setting standards, unblocking others and making architectural calls in ambiguous situations.
Qualifications – Technical Expertise
- Substantial experience building iOS apps in production with Swift, including evolving iOS versions and modular architectures.
- Deep understanding of Swift: memory management, concurrency (async/await, actors), and state management in complex flows.
- Production experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
- Experience implementing MVVM‑C or similar coordination patterns with strong architectural judgement.
- Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services in API‑driven environments, ideally with OpenAPI workflows.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests across unit, integration and application layers using Swift Testing and XCTest.
Nice to Have
- Experience in modern mobile CI/CD environments such as Bitrise and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with modularised iOS codebases and build‑time optimisation.
- Contributions to platform or core architecture beyond your immediate team.
