Leading organisation in the railway electrification sector wishes to appoint a Social Value Coordinator.
Role:
- Lead community relations events, working with the project community liaison team to manage stakeholder communications, and community investment opportunities
- Plan community events, STEM Ambassador events and similar
- Identify opportunities for innovation / best practice, documenting achievements in case studies
- Drive Community Engagement & Social Value across the organisation
- Promote social value within the business and ensure colleagues understand the SV policies and strategies
- Develop a social value response for each tender bid as required
- Monitor feedback from bid submissions to ensure improvement
- Assist HR with Employment and Skills delivery
- Provide support to site teams to deliver contractual commitments and added social value, including engagement with local voluntary sector, charity organisations and EBPs
- Monitor and report on activity and achievement in line with KPIs
- Work with procurement teams to improve company approach to working with SME’s and Social Enterprises
- Ensure effective SV communication methods are in place, through means such as newsletters, social media and emails)
- Attend relevant industry events
- Act as company contact for Partner Organisations, Charities and Voluntary Organisations
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Social Value role, ideally within the rail, engineering or construction sectors
- Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of the Social Value Act (2012)
- Driving licence
