Organisation working on high voltage projects, with a specific focus on BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) requires a Site Manager with HV experience for schemes in the Central Belt of Scotland (Glasgow - Edinburgh).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee site activities, encompassing land preparation, foundation works, electrical installation and HV connections.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of site operatives, ensuring the correct use of plant, machinery and tools.
- Sub-contractor and supplier coordination and management.
- Manage the delivery and storage of materials, such as cables, inverters and solar panels.
- Create work schedules and construction plans, ensuring adherence to agreed timescales, amending work plans when appropriate.
- Make sure works remain within budget.
- Ensure all installations comply with designs, guidelines and standards.
- Oversee testing of PV systems, electrical installations and inverters.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety legislation on site.
- Produce risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Provide clients with regular updates on the progress of works.
- Keep detailed reports of work progress, delays and milestones.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, working on projects in the HV sector (ideally BESS or solar).
- SMSTS.
- Driving licence.
