A trusted partner to the T&D / HV, ICP and Multi-Utility industries for the UK, Ireland and North America
Established civils / construction contractor requires someone with bids and tendering experience to produce PQQ and tender submissions. The role is based from their office in Essex, but with hybrid working available.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage and complete PQQ and tender submissions
- Manage downloading and uploading of tender documents on internal system
- Ensure all information is kept up-to-date on these documents
- Update and maintain company library of tender documentation and templates
- Set timeline for the tender programme
- Coordinate, plan and write responses to tenders and bids, ensuring high levels of clarity, accuracy and creativity
- Identify and share opportunities to improve the bid and tender process
- Assist in the creation of presentations (PowerPoint)
- Offer support to the bid writing team when needed
- Create CVs for the management team, to be included in bids and tenders
- Maintain case studies for recent projects undertaken
- Use platforms, such as Glenigans and Barbour ABI, to identify and track construction scheme leads
- Create and maintain saved searches on the above, based on strategic thinking and encompassing regions, types of project, their values and stages
- Ensure information garnered from these searches is saved on internal system
Requirements:
- Experience in bid management, bid coordination, bid writing in the construction, civil engineering or related (rail, utilities etc) sectors
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in data input and management
- Skilled in the use of the Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint – as well as with platforms such as Glenigans and Barbour ABI
