The role:
- Design of HV networks - 11kV and 33kV - new connections, primary and protection systems
- Specification of electrical equipment, such as switchgear and transformers
- Power systems analysis - load flow, power studies etc
- Liaison with DNOs, IDNOs and ICPs
- Taking part in design meetings
The person:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject
- Experience in the design of HV networks at 11kV or 33kV
- Proven background in the specification of transformers and switchgear
- Proficiency using power systems software, such as DigSilent or ETAP
- Strong theoretical knowledge of HV engineering and the ability to design from first principles
Although based in Yorkshire, remote working is available to suitably qualified and experienced HV Design Engineers.
