This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in LV and HV (11kV) connections design to join a major DNO framework. The role involves carrying out design and costing for connections schemes and power distribution network upgrades, including:
- Analysis and studies of LV and 11kV networks
- Design for cable replacements, underground and overhead line networks
- Design of cable diversions
- Design for power distribution network reinforcement
- Design of LV and HV connections
- Customer liaison
- Ensure designs are in line with project scope and meet OFGEM requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in HV connections or general HV network design up to 11kV with a DNO, IDNO or ICP
- Understanding of NERS
- Knowledge of DNO and IDNO design standards and scheme approvals
- Knowledge of Grid Code and CDM regulations
- Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- Driving licence
