Long-term contract position available, outside IR35, for a BMS Commissioning Engineer in the Glasgow area. The BMS Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the testing, commissioning and handover of Tridium Niagara and Trend Building Management Systems.

Duties:

  • Commission Trend and Distech/Niagara BMS, including controllers, field devices, and networks.
  • Perform point-to-point checks, I/O testing, and functional commissioning.
  • Configure and validate control sequences to project specifications.
  • Commission and modify BMS software, graphics, alarms, trends, and schedules.
  • Optimise HVAC performance through PID loop tuning.
  • Diagnose and resolve BMS, HVAC, and communication faults.
  • Integrate third-party systems using BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, and Modbus.
  • Support witness testing, Soft Landings, and seasonal commissioning.
  • Produce commissioning records, test sheets, and handover documentation.
  • Deliver client training and support on-site.

Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC plant and building services.
  • Proficient in reading consultant specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in fault finding and technical problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of IP networking.
