Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults facing homelessness? Join our dynamic team as a Night Concierge at Depaul UK, where you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey towards independence.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Night Concierge with a clear understanding of Safeguarding to work at our accommodation service in Oldham. You will ensure the building is safe and secure through security and door control. This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position on a 3-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. The role involves 2 shifts per week on a 3-week rolling rota, including Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays (in rotation).

As Night Concierge, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the security of the building through regular checks and monitoring CCTV where applicable.
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times, including safeguarding and emergency procedures.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, or services visiting the building at night.
  • Keeping records of all work, activities, and entries to and from the building during your shift.

Please note that relating with young adults during your work requires experience in Safeguarding, which will be an advantage for consideration.

Person Specification:

  • An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use, or care leavers.
  • Experience managing overnight safety for vulnerable clients, preferably in supported housing.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills for accurate handover of information between shifts.
  • Experience in basic maintenance and/or cleaning services.
