The Nightstop and supported lodgings provide emergency and longer-term accommodation in the homes of trained and vetted community hosts, predominantly for young people aged 16-25 but also for adults aged 25+ in some services.
We are searching for a suitable candidate with outstanding leadership and people management skills to fill the role of Nightstop and Supported Lodgings Network Officer . Working closely with the leadership team, the post holder will be responsible for a caseload of Nightstop and Supported Lodgings services across the UK network. You will support and develop Nightstop services to ensure high quality services are delivered to Nightstop guests and volunteers.
The Nightstop network comprises of 20 youth or housing organisations, who, comply with the Nightstop Quality Standard. As part of a team you will develop and support a network of accredited Supported Lodgings services.
The appointed candidate will join our team at our London office and will be required to be at the office location 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of a team be the point of contact for any internal/external Nightstop/Supported Lodgings service enquiries nationally, responding in a timely manner with expert support, guidance and advice.
  • You will quality assess every accredited Nightstop service both Depaul run and externally with our delivery partners every two years and ensure follow-up on any actions identified to ensure quality improvements are met.

  • You will be the point of contact for new service delivery enquiries and development opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver national partnerships with organisations who can support Depaul in growing the Nightstop and Supported Lodgings networks.
  • Develop and influence key external professional relationships with frontline and Senior Managers of partner organisations.
  • You will design and deliver a programme of training and events to the Nightstop and Supported Lodgings networks.
  • You will recruit, coach, supervise and motivate your team of volunteers to support the delivery of planned outcomes.
  • You will be responsible for providing supervision, performance management and support to your team of volunteers

What We Are Looking For – Person Specification:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the challenges homeless young people face
  • Good track record of stakeholder management including how to develop, network and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience of designing and delivering high quality training and resources to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with both new and existing internal and external partners from frontline staff to senior management.
  • Ability to design, deliver and facilitate external network forums and the network national conference.
  • Skilled and experienced in volunteer management and good practice in this area.
  • Competence in or experience of implementing quality assessment and/or accreditation frameworks.
  • Ability to understand and analyse data accurately & effectively.
