We are looking for an outstanding Senior Test Engineer to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital, to assist in the design of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. (Lead Criteria) Experience leading testing across multiple teams in the lifecycle from understanding business needs to delivery into production. Including technical leadership, test generation, reporting and defect management. Demonstrable skills in a modern programming language and software testing practices and aptitude to learn more. Experience building and maintaining comprehensive, robust, and reliable automated tests against UI’s and API’s including driving improvements to frameworks. An adaptable team player who understands agile ways of working, can influence others and has experience of shift left principles including CI/CD. Experience of conducting and enabling non-functional testing such as Performance, Security and Accessibility – including test types, test tools, and standards. You and your role As a Senior Test Engineer, you will work within the Digital Modernisation & Efficiency (DME) team to support the delivery of accessible user centred designed services to both citizen and DWP colleagues. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality, a belief in the benefits of faster feedback and the ability to make decisions to manage well assured services. You will collaborate with others, actively seek input from colleagues and value a multi-disciplinary team over hierarchy, working alongside and providing leadership to other Test Engineers as well as both Software and DevOps engineers within the teams around you and the wider community to deliver consistent solutions and strategies. Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub. Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £71,017 Pension: You’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
