We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We’re using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives. Can demonstrate they have taken full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of a number of different digital projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines) Can demonstrate effective project controls to demonstrate the health of the projects they are responsible for and react accordingly to the information gathered. Experience of building and managing effective internal and external stakeholder relationships. Experience of identifying and implementing continuous improvement to ways of working to improve the delivery outcomes. Communicate in a straightforward, honest, and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles and tools to maximise and check understanding and impact. You and your role As Digital Project Manager, you’ll build and manage stakeholder relationships across our internal teams and suppliers, proactively identifying and managing risks and issues. You’re a consistent and influential communicator. You know how to communicate across internal and external stakeholders and how to manage team dynamics. In this role you’ll have ownership of one of our exciting user-centred digital projects, or a significant part of a larger programme. That means you manage all the plans, risks, issues, and dependencies. We’re a massive department, so there is scope to get involved in range of projects that will stretch you. You’ll be empowered to build your skills and experience through whatever learning and development works best for you. This will include growing your expertise in project management practice, digital frameworks and technologies. As well as your project team, you will have chance to coach and mentor other members of our project community. You’ll help us encourage collaboration and shared ownership throughout the team, and grow capability in our thriving community of practice. Details. Wages. Perks. Location: You’ll join us in your choice of one our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hybrid Working: We have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model with a mix of home working and sometime in the office. Pay: In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of £42,614 p.a. Pension: You’ll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97% (Worth £12,300/year). Holidays: You’ll get a generous leave package starting at 24 days, rising to 31 days over time, plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.
