You will be responsible for staffing, coordination, management and oversight of major Information Management and Information Technology (IT) functional areas. You will manage human resources to accomplish the shipyard mission while maintaining IT and Information Assurance effectiveness and efficiency. You will ensure rigorous applications for safeguarding access to systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access. You will ensure programs are created and implemented to ensure the systems, network, and data users are aware, understand and adhere to these policies and procedures. You will ensure that management is aware of security issues to include sound security principles in the organization's visions and goals.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
- You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience applying significant knowledge of IT security systems, security concepts, standards, and methods as needed to develop and interpret business-wide policies and requirements in a manner that ensures the confidentiality, reliability, and accessibility of systems, networks, and data.
- Experience communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel sufficient to prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.
- Experience providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical Cybersecurity/Information Awareness and IT issues.
- Experience providing both technical and administrative supervision and work delegation to a subordinate IT staff.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
