An opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with an extensive background in office management to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network. Reporting to the Agent General for the UK/Commissioner for Victoria to Europe and Israel, this position is responsible for managing the efficient operation of the London VGTI office, as well as a coordination role for the VGTI office in Tel Aviv, Israel and work closely and collaboratively with the VGTI Paris office as required. The role also involves coordination of Ministerial/VIP visits and events, managing the office’s digital presence and providing high quality executive support services to the Commissioner.
Responsibilities
- Manage the efficient operation of the London VGTI office and coordinate with the Tel Aviv and Paris offices as required.
- Coordinate Ministerial and VIP visits and events, including travel arrangements, meetings and presentations.
- Oversee the office’s digital presence and provide high quality executive support services to the Commissioner.
Successful Candidate / Qualifications
- Experience and demonstrated skills in office administration with strong capability in accounting, bookkeeping, budgets and banking, provision of executive level support, and understanding of the UK regulatory environment related to operating a foreign representative office.
- Proven ability to manage human resources functions including recruitment and onboarding, payroll, pensions, annual leave records, and workplace compensation.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and using LinkedIn as a business tool.
- Experience in planning and coordinating logistics of VIP visits or events, including travel arrangements, meetings and presentations.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle) would be desirable.
The successful candidate for this Locally Engaged Position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to visa, relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
